Sonos Beam Surround Sound Package
A compact soundbar, dedicated bass and real rear speakers. A good starting point for a smaller living room where you want cinema sound without large speaker boxes.

Beam supports Dolby Atmos processing. It does not have upward-firing height drivers; its height effect differs from an Arc Ultra or a system with ceiling speakers.

A larger soundbar and subwoofer, with a pair of compact rear speakers. Suits customers looking for a more substantial living-room system while keeping the room easy to use.

SEPARATE SPEAKERS & HIDDEN SYSTEMS
Looking for a wired 5.1 or Dolby Atmos package?
We also plan separate-speaker systems with an AV receiver, subwoofer and the speaker layout your room can accommodate. Options include conventional speaker boxes and suitable Monitor Audio in-wall or in-ceiling speakers.
A 5.1 system has five main speakers and one subwoofer. A 5.1.2 Atmos layout adds two height channels. More speakers help when there is space to put them in the right places.
For a discreet system, we check wall depth, ceiling access and cable routes before choosing the equipment. Renovations and new builds are a good time to plan the wiring.

Three details worth getting right.
Wireless still needs power.
Each powered Sonos speaker needs a socket. We check power near the TV, subwoofer and rear-speaker positions, as well as the TV's audio connection.
Your existing TV may be ideal.
Send the model number before replacing it. We check HDMI ARC or eARC and supported audio formats. Keeping your current screen may be a sensible option.
The room shapes the result.
Glass, hard floors, a sofa against the wall and a high or sloping ceiling can affect the plan. Photos help us recommend a system that suits the space.

Surround sound package FAQs
What is included in a surround sound package?
The three Sonos packages shown each include a soundbar, one subwoofer and two rear speakers as their equipment combination. Your written installed quote lists the agreed fitting, cables, brackets or stands, setup and VAT total. Separate-speaker packages also need suitable amplification; we specify that as part of your custom quote.
How much does a surround sound package cost including installation?
Your total depends on the exact equipment, where the speakers go, brackets or stands, cable routes and the work needed in your room. Send your TV model, room photos and area. We confirm availability and give you one written supplied-and-installed total including VAT, with all inclusions and any extra work listed before booking.
Can I keep my existing TV?
Usually, yes. Send the make and model so we can check its audio connection and supported formats. Sonos Beam and Arc Ultra use HDMI ARC or eARC for Dolby Atmos. An older TV may need a different connection or extra equipment, which we explain before you buy.
Are wireless surround sound packages completely wireless?
No. Wireless means there is no speaker cable carrying sound from the front of the room to each Sonos rear speaker. The soundbar, subwoofer and each powered rear speaker still need mains power. The soundbar also connects to the TV. We check socket positions when planning the installation.
Which is better for my room: Sonos or a wired 5.1 system?
Sonos can suit a living room where simple control and fewer speaker cables matter. A wired system gives you more choice of separate speakers and AV receivers, including layouts with dedicated ceiling speakers. The room, your preferred finish, listening habits and budget guide the recommendation.
Does every package include Dolby Atmos?
Beam (Gen 2) and Arc Ultra support Dolby Atmos with compatible equipment and content, but they create height effects differently. Beam uses processing without upward-firing drivers. Arc Ultra and Era 300 have upward-firing drivers. Dedicated ceiling-speaker Atmos systems are another option. We explain what will work in your room.
Do I need a separate amplifier with Sonos?
The Sonos soundbar packages shown do not need a separate AV receiver. Conventional passive-speaker surround systems do need suitable amplification, usually an AV receiver. We include the appropriate equipment in the custom system specification.
Can you hide the speakers or the cables?
We can plan in-wall or in-ceiling speakers and concealed cable routes where the room construction and access allow. Surface-mounted speakers and neat trunking may suit other rooms. We explain any wall openings, electrical work, plaster repairs or decorating before agreeing the work.
Should all surround speakers play all the time?
No. Each speaker plays the part of the soundtrack it receives. Rear speakers may be quiet during a conversation and then play sounds from behind you. Music, crowds or rain may use several speakers together. This depends on the programme and the selected playback settings.
Do you supply and install packages outside Dublin?
Our installation area covers Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare. Send your town or Eircode with the enquiry so we can confirm coverage and the installation arrangements for your address.
Can a package include a new TV or a projector?
Yes. Our TV and Sonos packages combine a suitable LG or Samsung TV with surround sound and installation. For a projector, we check the video sources and audio routing before quoting; some setups need additional equipment to deliver the required surround or Dolby Atmos format.
